Wow, this is pretty gross. A 29-year old “Social Studies” teacher from upstate New York was arrested yesterday on federal charges for “using a cellular telephone to persuade, induce, entice and coerce a person younger than 18 years old to engage in sexual activity.”
State police investigators said John M. Puglisi was having a sexual relationship with a 16-year old student (the age of consent in New York is 17); he also bought her a cell phone which he used to send “sexplicit” messages such as,
“Naked photos please” and “These are so hot give me some more baby.”
On top of that, he even forged a note to get her out of school early one day and took her to his home to have “relations.”
Apparently he was warned by the school Principal not to contact her in any way, and he continued texting her, which is why homeboy got locked up. A conviction carries a mandatory 10 year prison sentence; the maximum he could get is life in prison.
