With all the banter and bickering about the stimulus plan, executive pay caps, and tax cheats, clearly The White House staff forgot to look outside and notice a band of racoons traipsing around near the West Wing and Executive Mansion!

And just like public enemy #1, Osama Bin Laden, they have evaded capture for some time now.  The National Park Service spokesman Bill Burton said, “The idea of raccoons on the White House grounds give us great pause.”

Yeah, I’d have to think if a few raccoons can bust on through the gates, it would not be that challenging for some crazy person to squeak by that wants to off the Prez, you know? Maybe some of that stimulus money they are doling out to the banks should stay right in the Oval Office??

Apparently it’s not that unusual for these furry friends to be spotted outside a campsite. According to The Humane Society, the raccoon is one of the few species of wild animals that adapted well to life in cities and towns.

So that explains why I saw a bunch of them chillin in Brooklyn a couple years ago…
