Even though hundreds of thousands of peeps are getting laid off every week, they are apparently still hiring out there in Los Angeles, and you don’t even have to starve yourself!

According to AP, Carnie “I still can’t stop eating after gastric bypass surgery” Wilson has somehow snagged a gig with GSN, some cable game show network I’ve never seen before.  She’s been tapped as the new host of “The Newlywed Game” for 4o episodes.

She says, “I’ve always loved game shows. My personality and energy is perfect for something like this. First of all, I’m married, and I loved watching ‘The Newlywed Game’ when I was younger. I watched it all the time. I always hoped the couples would start fighting.”

Old Bob Eubanks can rest assured that no one could possibly come up with anything better than his trademark “making whoopee,” I’m pretty certain of that.
