With a resolution to the ballot battle between Norm Coleman and Al Franken unlikely any time in the near future, Coleman has let it be known that a higher power is behind him (underlying current: he thinks Franken is some Hollywood heathen not destined to be a United States Senator).
On Friday Coleman (who is Jewish) was a guest on the syndicated radio show of conservative talking head Mike Gallagher and told listeners that he knows “God wants me to serve.”
He later went on another radio station with a more moderate base, Minnesota Public Radio, and told host Tom Crann, “I’ve been blessed to serve. I want to continue to serve.”
Norm, dude, God told me I was going to win the lotto years ago and that hasn’t exactly panned out for me. So just a piece of advice, keep you options open.
