So I just had a “phone interview” with a (non-profit) company and they said they received 400 resumes for the position I applied for. Out of that this guy was phoning up 16 (including myself) to determine who to bring in for an actual interview.
After about question #5 I was “disqualified” because he said the salary would be too low for me ($25,000 less per year than my previous position) even though I said I would go down $15,000, it was a no go.
But I was told that I seem like a really “talented, well-rounded individual.” Not particularly comforting since I have a mortgage and bills to pay!!!!!!
